- Ollie Williams
A giant within the advertising agencies who have paved the way in the industry are looking for a senior user experience consultant to sit within their strategy team to drive user experience across the business. This isn’t another agency role where they’re looking for a senior to work on IA documentation, they want a candidate who understands the agency model and can engage internal and external stakeholders with the value of user experience of projects.
The agency has grown out of a DM background and with this has an excellent understanding of a customer journey’s so it’s a natural progression to implementing equally great user journey’s within digital too, which has led to need a senior UE who knows how the get under the skin of the end user. The role is reporting into the planning director and comes with an open remit, it will be up to you to engage on the projects. You’ll have the opportunity to influence from the conceptual and pitch stage to final delivery. Internally all the teams recognise the need for a user experience consultant and want to have the knowledge within the team, it will be up to you how you implement your knowledge across the teams and projects.
Ideally this position would suit someone who has grown within agency from maybe a planning, production or creative background and who has moved into user experience in the latter years of their career. There isn’t a requirement for you to get involved within the other departments but it is however vital that you understand how all the disciplines fit into a project.
You’ll be working over a variety of projects, large content heavy government sites, creative marketing projects for prestige automotive and email marketing projects for consumer brands.
This brief isn’t black and white, if you’re a senior who understands the user experience life cycle and knows how an agency functions it can be what you make of it as long as you’re adding value to both the brands they work with and the agency too.
It is without a doubt one of the best perm positions I've seen with outstanding opportunities for the right person.
